Karen Egan is mom to a son with an intellectual disability, and her energy and enthusiasm have made her a spokeswoman and advocate for athletes of all abilities. Her service to the community can be seen at the local, state, national and international level. Learning early on that she had to be her son’s strongest advocate, Karen opened doors for her son Vince and created hundreds, if not thousands, of opportunities for youth and for young adults. Her support and encouragement have also impacted families, showing them that they hold the key to inclusion for their loved ones.
