We are informed, experienced and passionate defenders of the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We provide services throughout life, from birth to death. Our services are free of charge.
We ensure that those we serve are provided services they need, are protected and know their rights. We are here to speak with and on behalf of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our extended family is made up of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who have been neglected, exploited or abused or have no other family and we serve as their legal guardians. Our guardianship is monitored by the 4th Judicial District.
We provide workshops, speakers, educational materials, conference scholarships and a lending library on a wide range of issues that concern people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their friends and families. Guardianship, dual diagnosis, the legal system, sexuality, as well as diagnosis-specific information are a few of the subjects included in our educational mission.
Our judicial advocates ensure that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities navigate the justice system and receive the right to due process.
We host many events throughout the year that provide opportunity for friends, family and fun! See our calendar for more details.
