Annual Film Festival

7th Annual Achieve with Us Colorado Film Festival: "Reel Life" Growing TogetherWhat if your world was a place where people of differing abilities worked alongside you in meaningful jobs,

shared belly laughter with you at a weekend party,

or sipped a cup of coffee with you, all the while making your life bigger and brighter?

“REEL” Life

You can live in a community like this. The Arc Pikes Peak Region invites you to learn about how you can join our efforts to make this dream a reality. Experience the skills, abilities, and passion of people, who happen to have a disability, through short films at the 7th Annual Achieve with Us Colorado Film Festival: “Reel Life” Growing Together, Friday, March 22, 2 FREE SHOWINGS @ 2 pm & 7:45 pm, at Stargazers Theatre.

Impactful Short Films

This year’s powerful short films include Surreality, portraying the sense of validation and loneliness that come with receiving an aspergers diagnoses at age 57, and Hannah, a film that explores the playful ambition of a young dancer and athlete with a disability, celebrating motion, energy and elegance of human movement and adrenaline. Being Seen details heart-wrenching, candid and articulate conversation between individuals who, rather than defining themselves by their diagnosis, strive to create meaning, meet adversity and dream of their futures.

We hope these films give attendees a reason to learn more about The Arc Pikes Peak Region’s vision of creating inclusion – a community where all individuals are embraced and respected.
