Our 43rd gem is The Arc Pikes Peak Region Financial Coordinator and Pooled Income Trustee Donna Butzin. Donna has been with The Arc since 2010. Donna holds a degree in Accounting from Regis University. Donna has worked for various organizations in the disability field including The Resource Exchange and Club of Arts.
Donna was instrumental in the establishment of The Arc Pikes Peak Region’s pooled income trust- a long time believer in improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities. Donna worked with local self-advocacy groups to stop post eligibility trust of income.
Donna also works as a supervisor for Peak, a program through the Department for Human Services. Donna has done multiple trainings for county employees on the importance of using people first language. Donna is a firm believer in helping people lead the lives they want to lead.
