Our 13th gem is Governor John W. Hickenlooper. Governor Hickenlooper was awarded The Arc PPR’s President’s Award in 2014. As governor of Colorado, Hickenlooper continues to be a champion for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He has engaged key stake holders in reconfiguring long term services and supports.
He gave the executive order that created the Office of Community Living and the Community Living Advisory group. He continues to be committed to ending the waiting lists for children and adult services in our state.
